Sofiona Designs LAUNCH WEEK!!

This past month, I’ve had the pleasure of working with 2 fellow Canadians – Trisha and Sherri – as they started up their own pdf pattern company. These 2 ladies have been working their butts off during the past year to bring Sofiona Designs into fruition. You can learn more about their background and experiences starting up a new pattern company over on their Mami de Sofiona blog. I have had a blast working with them since September testing out their gorgeous patterns.  If you love well drafted patterns, with lots of options and no word of a lie exceptional finishes (your finished product seriously looks just as good on the inside as it does on the outside!!), you NEED to try them out for yourself!

Final Logo-SImple

They’ve got 4 patterns currently up in their store that are on sale for 30 % off until November 25th! Several other patterns are in the works, so stay posted for their release! One of the best parts about this amazing company is that a portion of their earnings will be donated to A21 – a non-profit organization working towards eradicating human trafficking around the world. How awesome is that?

They’ve also got some great giveaways coming up during LAUNCH week! So be sure to follow them on Instagram and join their Facebook Fan Group. You won’t regret it!

I was able to test out the Raven Top and Dress and the Starry Night PJ’s, as well as shoot for a friend’s (Made of Starlight) version of the Railway Joggers.

The Raven Top and Dress fabric is a red satin from an upcycled bridesmaid’s dress. This pattern is jam packed with options – drop back or modest back, 3 sleeve options, tie back or band (for bigger sizes ONLY), dress with elastic waist or top with split hem, short or long ruffle, or even no ruffle at all!

My version is the long sleeved top with a short ruffle and tie back made in 2T width and 3T height.

The Starry Night PJ’s fabric is a floral striped double brushed polyester from Knitpop and a jersey knit from in light coral. Again, this pattern has a perfect amount of options – enough to play around with, but not so many that is it overwhelming. You can make a nightgown, or top and pants with optional ruffle details on bottom hems (of both the nightgown or pants/capris/shorts) and optional ruffle on from bodice. My version is the nightgown with a simple bodice ruffle and my 3 year old is in love with it!!

The Railway Jogger’s fabric is quilted floral knit and grey sweatshirt knit both from Fabricland Canada.

    1. Jenny’s camera was acting up, but we still lugged 4 kids (0-4y) downtown in the freezing cold to take these lol. So I ended up taking them in the end. The model was not the happiest since the wind was pretty bitting, but a promise of Mcdonalds made them all happy 🙂
